ABOUT flour and spoon

Welcome to Flour and Spoon, a small Artisan Bakery located in Leigh on Sea, proudly baking real artisan breads using the best ingredients from local suppliers - Carr`s Mill is supplying us with their best British artisan flour, fruit, vegetable and herbs used in our bakes are grown at our allotment or bought from local farmers. our sourdough is made of our very own leaven, flour, water and salt. each of them are hand shaped individually and left to proof for at least 12 hours, then baked using steam technique to achieve the most amazing crust and crumb.  

most of our artisan breads are suitable for vegans.

we don't use any improvers, preservatives, additives or bleach in our breads as used in massive produced supermarkets breads. traditional artisan baking is our passion.

we don't use any plastic packaging for our bakes and all our products are wrapped in a paper bags. For our wholesale deliveries tour business partners we use metal racks and cages.

7SEVEN Hotel — a brand new and exquisitely designed boutique hotel located within the heart of Southend on Sea. Try our Artisan Sourdough on their menu.  

MANGETOUT -  true food lovers serving seriously tasty eats made from the best locally sourced produce. We are proud to be supplying those guys with our Brioche buns  - hand shaped individually, baked daily every morning and delivered just before they opening hours, so they are all fresh and still warm when served. 

LEIGH ON SEA FARMER`S MARKET - is one of the longest running market in the Essex. The market is held at Leigh Community Centre on the 3rd Friday of each month from 9am - 1pm.

NOURISH Co -  expect to find healthy breakfast, lunch, snacks, cakes, juices and our Sourdough Bagels on their menu. 

LONE WOLVES ORGANIC - is a plant based café and juice bar based in Coggeshall,  specialising in cold-pressed juice cleanses, smoothies, hot dishes, handmade dessert and our Sourdough bagels with different flavours & shapes especially designed for their café. 

Piggy went to market - a fabulous Delicatessen with a deli counter providing an array of Artisan cheeses and Charcuterie, as well as freshly made food and Illy coffee.

CORNER CLUB - Corner Club is an all-day destination, serving locally roasted coffee, food and cocktails from early morning 'til after dark.
